What is NDIS?

As Australia’s premier nationwide disability insurance program the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides funding for supports determined “reasonable and necessary” for individuals with disabilities, including children with developmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder. Consequently, qualifying Victorian families may now receive financial assistance from the NDIS in order to fund a number of childhood developmental services such as early intensive behaviour intervention.

Securing NDIS Funding

At Early Autism Services we understand that the process of securing NDIS funding can be daunting for families. As such, we are happy to offer assistance by way of conducting data-driven developmental assessments and compiling accompanying reports during the application process which provide evidence of a need for additional supports and services. These documents serve to identify and target intervention skills which are both contextually appropriate and functionally relevant to each individual child. Additionally, Early Autism Services is able to provide ongoing support with regards to maintaining NDIS funding. This is achieved by way of regular conducting of assessments which capture a client’s developmental progress during the administration of ABA services.
