Passionate About
At Early Autism Services, we are passionate about the potential of your child. Since our founding in 2008, we’ve believed the best way to develop that potential is through proactive, personalized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy programs that enable families to work hand in hand with licensed professionals. We offer high-quality ABA therapy in Baltimore and throughout the United States, Australia and India.
We are a team made of hundreds of experienced Behavior Therapists, Board Certified Behaviors Analysts and caring individuals who are all committed to helping children with autism and their families.
What Is ABA Therapy?
ABA therapy is a form of behavior therapy for children with autism. This therapy aims to encourage your child to enact positive behaviors such as making eye contact and limit negative behaviors such as temper tantrums. In addition to managing these behaviors, ABA therapy also increases language skills and improves your child’s ability to focus.
Behavior analysis therapy has decades of research behind it and is adaptable to fit your child’s needs. One main strategy used in ABA therapy is positive reinforcement. With this technique, your therapist will identify a goal behavior for your child and a meaningful reward. Each time your child enacts this positive behavior, they will receive their reward. Over time, your child will make a lasting behavior change.
During your child’s session, their therapist may use various treatment methods. In some sessions, your child’s therapist may initiate the activity. In other sessions, your child may take the lead while their therapist observes. We also provide training for parents, caregivers and family members to continue treatment outside of therapy.
Benefits of ABA Therapy
ABA therapy is an evidence-based practice treatment that’s very effective for children with autism. The term evidence-based means ABA therapy services have undergone and passed multiple tests to measure their usefulness and overall quality. ABA therapy has been in practice for many years and is proven to help all learners, not just children with autism.
Many therapists use ABA therapy for numerous applications, and it commonly helps children by increasing language skills, improving their ability to focus and reducing behavior issues. Our autism services in Maryland are flexible, and we will adapt our program to fit your child’s exact needs.
When your child receives ABA therapy from EAS, they may experience several ABA procedures during their session. In some sessions, the therapist may direct your child through exercises or a game. Other times, the therapist may let your child lead the session.
We also provide learning resources for parents and caregivers. Your child will have many opportunities to practice the skills they learn in therapy outside of their session, and we teach caregivers how to reward positive behaviors. We also teach caregivers how to discourage negative behaviors such as temper tantrums.

Benefits of In-Home Therapy
Our in-home ABA therapy in Maryland is an excellent treatment option for many children with autism. Some benefits of our in-home service include:
- Convenience: Instead of dealing with travel and waiting rooms, let your child’s therapist come to you.
- Familiar environment: By having therapy in the comfort of your home, your child will be more at ease and receptive to their therapist.
- Fewer distractions: In-home therapy removes any noise and outside distractions that may be present during center-based treatment, allowing the therapist and your child to focus on the session.
- More observation opportunities: By observing your child’s behavior at home, our therapists will be able to understand your child’s needs more effectively and tailor their therapy toward them.
Since our ABA therapy plans in Baltimore are flexible, your child has many care options. During your child’s consultation, one of our board-certified behavior analysts will discuss possible treatment plans and what form of therapy would be most beneficial for your child.

Is the Social Skills Group Effective?
Social skills groups are immensely beneficial for children with autism. While it may take some time for your child to grow comfortable and start engaging with their social skills group, many parents notice a positive difference in their children after attending several sessions. Some benefits of your child attending a social skills group include:
- Increased communication skills: Many parents note an improvement or increase in their child’s social skills. After attending the social skills group, many children are better able to start a conversation, show empathy or read body language.
- Improvement in problem-solving: Our social skills groups give children the tools they need to solve problems individually and as a group.
- Self-confidence: In our social skills group, your child will meet others like them and receive positive support from their peers. Our group will also give them a sense of belonging or purpose as they work on their social skills to communicate with their new friends.
- Safe space for your child: Our social group’s welcoming, safe environment will help your child learn more quickly and allow them to be comfortable with our therapists and their peers.
Most importantly, our social skills group is fun for many children and allows them to interact with their peers through games and other play-based activities.
