My child was just
diagnosed with autism.

Now What?

From understanding your child’s diagnosis, to starting a therapy program, there are a lot of steps along the way. Our team of clinicians are here to help. We can answer any questions you have and get you on the path to starting a personalized therapy program for your child. Below is a step by step guide of our process at EAS.

Our Simple

5-Step Process

Your next steps are the most crucial after your child receives an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) diagnosis. The clinicians at EAS are here to help you and your child get on the right path. Follow our five-step process for a personalized ABA therapy for ASD program for your child:

Whether you’re ready to schedule a free consultation or just want to talk, we’re here. Call to speak with a clinician today.

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will meet with both you and your child to discuss your family’s needs, and share information about our therapy programs.

Our team will manage the insurance process, from submitting insurance to communicating with your provider through authorization.

We will provide a 1:1 assessment and engage with your child through a variety of play, observation, and conversation. From there, we will build a personalized therapy program tailored to your child’s individual needs.

We’ll reassess via all-staff meetings and collaborate with you to ensure the plan continues to address your child’s needs over time.

Center-Based ABA Therapy

We offer ABA Therapy, Speech & Language Therapy, and Occupational Therapy for children ages 18 months – 12 years old.

Our center-based therapy services include a balance of table-time learning and play-based learning. We work on areas such as Social Skills, Play Skills, Pre-Academic Skills, Fine & Gross Motor Skills, Language & Communications, and more!

While In-Home therapy is typically the recommended setting, at times a child needs ABA therapy in a more structured setting that can be controlled to better address maladaptive behaviors or skill deficits.

This can include children who are easily distracted or who have behaviors that require a more intensive/structured program. Sessions in the clinic do allow for goals to be targeted with peers in a structured setting that allows clients to build social skills.

In-Home ABA Therapy

Many families at EAS have programs which use a home-based therapy model. With in-home therapy programs, our clinicians work 1:1 with your child, in the comfort and privacy of your own home. This approach allows your child to build functional skills that can be tailored to their daily routines within their own home.

ABA therapy in the natural setting such as a home and day care is typically preferred as it allows the team to work with your child where their behaviors and skill deficits are occurring. This typically results in your child better learning the skills and generalizing skills outside of therapy sessions as well.
